Bajaj Auto to launch Kawasaki Ninja 650R superbike in India on August 9th

Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the 2012 model of Kawasaki Ninja 650R on August 9th 2012. The superbike which is being anticipated with bated breath is likely to be seen with a host of alternations which will ensure both better performance and enhanced aesthetic appeal. Slated to be offered at a price higher than that of its predecessor, the new Kawasaki Ninja 650R should touch a price well above the Rs.5 lakh mark while estimated reveal that it should be closer to Rs.6 lakhs.

Kawasaki Ninja 650R, powered by a 650cc parallel twin Sports Tourer will produce 72 bhp and 66 Nm torque while sound will be sportier and handling will be more enhanced thanks to stiffer suspensions. It does get a wider front faring, redesigned headlights and air vents on the side besides a new fuel tank, seat and rear end.

Slated to offer competition to Hyosung GT650R, GT 650N and Ducati Monster 795, Kawasaki Ninja 650R will be soon offered with ABS as an optional feature. Bajaj Auto who is responsible for sale of the Kawasaki Ninja through their ProBiking dealerships, will be bringing only a limited number of this model into the country with deliveries expected to commence soon after launch date.
