Bajaj Avenger with Pulsar 200 NS engine launch in September 2015

Bajaj Auto Limited is planning to launch the facelifted 2015 Bajaj Avenger motorcycle in India. It will be powered by a more advanced 200cc engine, sourced from Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, churning out 23.5 PS power. This means, the new engine will give the 2015 Avenger a 5 PS increase in power over its existing 220cc engine.

Introduced earlier in 2005, Bajaj Avenger has since received 3 updates in the past 10 years. The engine which is seen on the Avenger today, is the same which is seen on the Bajaj Pulsar 220F. It will also get a six speed manual gearbox, as against the existing 5 speed box.

Once a popular model, the company has been noting reduced sales of Avenger recently, due to which an update is planned giving the new Avenger fresh design and mechanical updates. 2015 Bajaj Avenger will be among six new motorcycles being planned over the next few months. To be produced from the Bajaj Auto Chakan plant near Pune, the new Avenger will sport many cosmetic changes and body graphics. It will be seen with rear disc brakes adding to its performance.

India made Bajaj Avenger used for Fire Brigade officials in Nepal.

Many buyers prefer the Avenger for its looks and seating position. But due to outdated engine, and inefficient dynamics, most of them stay away. Now, with the new Avenger in the making, these issues are expected to be sorted. Considering that the price of current Bajaj Avenger starts from Rs 81,596, ex-Delhi; the new Avenger should cost you in the range of Rs 85,000.
