Bajaj launches most affordable 150 cc Discover motorcycle
Bajaj Auto, India’s second largest motorcycle producer, launched two new bikes today – new Discover 150 F and the 150 S. Priced from Rs 51,720, Bajaj claims that this is the most affordable motorcycle in the 150 cc segment.
Bajaj 150 S is a naked version of 150 F and with strong similarities to the 125 ST with looks distinctive of the Discover range of bikes. To be seen in an all black theme, the new 150 S will share a large number of parts with the 150 (see techspecs below).
Bajaj 150 S will be offered in two variants, one of which will sport a drum brake (Rs 51,720) in the front while the other will have a disc brake (Rs 54,725, ex-showroom Pune). Engine specs will include a new 145 cc four valve DTS-i engine capable of 14.5 PS peak power and 12.75 Nm torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five speed gearbox.
The 150S will be seen with new body graphics and colours while sporting an analogue instrument console sporting speedometer, odometer, trip meter and fuel gauge. It will sit on 10 spoke alloy wheels wrapped in MRF Nylogrip Zapper tubeless tyres. Bookings of Bajaj 150 S are already opened at company dealerships, with deliveries in 3-4 days.
