Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS most awarded Indian bike in 2012

The Bajaj Pulsar is a leading performance brand in the motorcycle segment and its range includes models from 135 cc to 220 cc. since its inception over a decade ago, the brand has sold over 10 million vehicles. These numbers are due to the brands significant progress where technology, design and performance are concerned.

Apart from this, they are also credited with being the first to implement Nitrox Suspension, DTS-i technology, alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, all black theme as also digital odometer and speedometer console. The pulsar 200 NS is powered by a type SOHC – four valve liquid engine capable of producing 23.52 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque at 9500 rpm. It can do 0-100 kmph within span of 9.83 seconds and reaches a top speed of 136 kmph.

During 2012 the Pulsar 200 NS bagged 10 awards which include Economic Times Zigwheels – Bike of the Year, Economic Times Zigwheels – Best Enthusiast Motorcycle (180 -250),Economic Times ZigWheels Viewers Choice Bike of the Year, NDTV Car and Bike – Bike of The Year, NDTV Car and Bike – Bike of the Year (up to 250 CC), NDTV Car and Bike –Automotive Design of the Year, BBC Topgear – Reader’s choice, Bike India – Bike of the Year, Bike India – Bike of the Year (125 -200 CC) and CII Design Excellence Award’.
