Have Bajaj dealers opened Pulsar RS 200 bookings in your city?

UPDATE: Bajaj Pulsar 200 RS is the name – Official

Bajaj Pulsar is not the best selling motorcycle nameplate in India. But this does not affect the kind of buzz it creates whenever a new motorcycle is about to be added in the Pulsar family. The kind of buzz which surrounds the launch of upcoming Pulsar RS 200.

Bajaj Pulsar has the highest number of fans on Facebook as compared to any other motorcycle nameplate in the market. Love it, hate it, but you cannot ignore it.

Already showcased in international markets including Indonesia and Turkey, in India, the company has not even spoken about it. All we have, is a video in which Mr Rajiv Bajaj says that one Pulsar motorcycle will be launched in India this month. That’s all.

The fact that Pulsar RS 200 has been officially showcased internationally and not in India, has disappointed eagerly waiting buyers; some of whom have been eagerly waiting since the emergence of first spy shots back in 2013.

Many expected Bajaj to launch the RS 200 at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, but that wasn’t the case. Over a year has gone by and we are still waiting. Now, finally there is are reports online which claim that Bajaj dealers have opened Pulsar RS 200 bookings. All you have to do is pay them a booking amount of Rs 5,000, and expect a delivery by April end or early May.

Sadly, the dealers we called today, in Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, said that they have not opened bookings. They said that the bike was to be launched soon, but when asked about date, they couldn’t answer.

Maybe the dealers have not started taking bookings officially, but as there has been a huge number of enquiries (at least 100 calls a day, as per a dealer in Pune), they have started accepting bookings unofficially. Whichever be the case, either way it only implies that the launch date is getting closer by the day.

If you have booked a Pulsar RS 200, you can help fellow riders by posting details in the comments section below.
