Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS hi-res photos gives a clearer picture of what to expect

New Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS has been officially revealed in Turkey. On display at the 2015 Turkey Motor Show, here is a new set of photos, which capture the new Pulsar sports bike in high resolution.

To be launched in India this month, the new Pulsar 200 SS comes with the same 199.5 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine which is seen on board the existing Pulsar 200 NS. Expect the output to be slightly higher, as Bajaj has re-engineered the engine to offer more power and fuel efficiency.

Aboard the 200 NS, this engine delivers 23.52 PS at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm via a six speed gearbox. Unconfirmed reports tell us that the new Pulsar 200 SS will deliver a minimum of 25 PS power and 20 Nm torque.

Apart from added power, the new Pulsar 200 SS is also high in style. Seen in attractive dual tone colours, it is inspired from the 400 SS, which was displayed at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. On board features include digital instrument control, full fairing, LED DRLs with twin projector headlamps, rear LEDs, and comfortable split seats with enough room for two. As you can see in the images here, the model in the pictures does not feature ABS. Our source tells us that a ABS variant will also be launched, which will feature Bosch single channel ABS.

Once launched, new Pulsar 200 SS is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 1.3 – 1.4 lakhs, much below KTM RC 200. It will compete with the likes of Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR 250 R.

We are awaiting more details from Bajaj, but all they have said till now, is that the first new Pulsar sportsbike will be launched in the month of March 2015. After this, they will launch more Pulsar variants. These will be in the form of Pulsar 150 NS and Pulsar 200 AS, both have already spied on test in India. Exciting times ahead for Bajaj Pulsar fans.
