To be powered by the same 200 cc engine that powers Pulsar 200 NS, the fully faired Pulsar 200 SS will feature a fuel injection system instead of the carburetor setup seen on the former. It is also revealed that the 200 SS will not feature ABS.
Compared to the Pulsar 400 SS Super Sports concept, it is believed that the proportions of Pulsar 200 SS will be slightly smaller. Probably a similar strategy which Bajaj applied when they launched the first Pulsar 150 and 180 in the early 2000s.
Pulsar 400 SS will be based on the Duke 375 and will feature ABS. Bajaj has confirmed that they will launch a new Pulsar variant this fiscal, i.e. by 31st March 2014. This will be in the form of Pulsar 200 SS. Expect the 200SS to be about Rs 15k expensive than the NS variant.
