Batmobile performs as 2012 Silverstone Lotus F1 car: The Dark Knight Rises

Dark Knight Rises is still a few days away from movie theatres but the weekend that went by saw a Dark Knight bedecked Formula One car take part in the British GP. Fans were eager to get a glimpse of this Lotus F1 car with a name similar to that of the film by Christopher Nolan but unfortunately bad weather played spoil sport calling for an early stop the Saturday’s qualifying rounds.

Lotus F1 team announced the partnership with The Dark Knight Rises at last weekend’s British GP. E20 Lotus F1 car, the garage and all racing suits worn by the drivers were adorned with the logo from the film. Tumbler Batmobile (Bat Pod) was presented at the circuit by Lotus F1 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean ahead of the race. Eric Boullier, Principal of Lotus F1 Team was excited about this spectacular event where in he also likened the new E20 to the super looking Batmobile.

Trailer of Dark Knight Rises is unveiled on Thursday July 5th together with Nokia. Probably there may be a new mobile phone model bring released with this tie up. The film which is to be released on July 20th in the UK is directed by Christopher Nolan while stars include Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman and Marion Cotillard.
