A digital campaign titled, ‘As sun as Possible’ has been launched by Volkswagen as part of the market launch of the Beetle Cabriolet. The campaign showcases extracts from experiences of six trendsetters who undertook a tour to Hawaii in this vehicle. This campaign will be launched on social networks and internet platforms to get across to Volkswagen customers all over the globe.
The campaign has been designed to show how the Beetle cabriolet is an inseparable companion for many during summer months. The experiences of six well known trendsetters from professions like photography, music, fashion, sport and comedy will share their experience via social networking sites during their two week long Beetle Cabriolet tour of Hawaii. Tayo Cittadella Jacobsen aka FAB, Mary Scherpe, Ana Free, Chris Burkard, Catherine Clark, and Andro Kajzer will be part of the trip.
Beetle cabriolet is powered by a standard 2.5L five cylinder engine capable of producing 170 hp of power and 177 Lb-ft of torque which is dispersed to the front wheel drive through a six speed manual transmission system. Another engine option is the 2.0L turbocharged four cylinder engine that delivers 200 hp of power and 207 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a six speed manual or dual clutch DSG automatic transmission system. A diesel variant is also available which is powered by a 2.0L turbodiesel four cylinder engine which delivers 140 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.
