Bentley Continental GT3 Concept Racer was earlier seen at Paris Mondial de l’Automobile and also at the LA Auto Show and is now heading to the 2013 Autosport International exhibition to regale audience. The GR3 will be in the spotlight at its UK debut from January 10 to 13, 2013 at National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, Central England.
There has been great response to Bentley’s return to motorsports and which was accentuated due to the announcement of Continental GT3 which is scheduled to be on track for the first time at end of the coming year. The company will be developing GT3 in alliance with Technical Partners M Sport Limited who is well versed with World Rally Programs ever since 1997. M Sport will design and develop special components along with design works and project organisation at in house operations in Crewe.
Where the team is concerned, it will include John Wickham who was team manager when Bentley won Le Mans 24 Hours and Graham Humphrys, designer of 1999 Le Mans winning BMW V12 LMR. The race car will be designed, built and tested in competition at the end of 2013 while the program will only continue beyond 2013 if the Continental GT3 racer proves to be competitive. It is not specified if M Sport will continue to be involved in manufacture of customer cars if and when this occurs.
