Autonews reports Bentley Motors are awaiting final nod before their concept SUV heads to production lines. Bentley SUV will share its platform with Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche and will, according to estimates, make its entry into markets in the coming three years.
Where styling is concerned, the production variant of Bentley SUV will bear a closer resemblance to Bentley brand as against the EXP 9F Concept. Bentley had displayed EXP 9 F to get feedback from the market. The final product will possess an eight cylinder engine while a W12 could also be an option. Where Bentley’s other models are concerned, the next generation Continental GT Coupe, GTC Convertible and Flying Spur Sedan will all share their platforms with Audi and Porsche as they enter markets in the coming five years.
These new cars will be based on a Porsche MSB rear and all wheel drive architecture or on the Audi modular longitudinal FWD and AWD platforms. Bentley SUV is expected to enter the market probably somewhere in 2015. This will be the third model in the company lineup after Mulsanne and Continental.
