Bentley SUV with little modifications awaits final approval
Bentley SUV, codenamed EXP 9 F Concept was first shown at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The SUV has been under development since and now awaits final nod, before the production variant is revealed, which might happen in March at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Where styling is concerned, the production variant of Bentley SUV will bear a closer resemblance to Bentley brand as against the EXP 9F Concept. Bentley had displayed EXP 9 F to get feedback from the market. The final product will possess an eight cylinder engine while a W12 could also be an option. Where Bentley’s other models are concerned, the next generation Continental GT Coupe, GTC Convertible and Flying Spur Sedan will all share their platforms with Audi and Porsche as they enter markets in the coming five years.
These new cars will be based on a Porsche MSB rear and all wheel drive architecture or on the Audi modular longitudinal FWD and AWD platforms. Bentley SUV is expected to enter the market probably somewhere in 2015. This will be the third model in the company lineup after Mulsanne and Continental.
