The bike messenger is seen competing in these illegal 20 mile events with cameras strapped to helmets trying to capture hours and hours of cyclists weaving between pedestrians and vehicles on busy streets. The route is predetermined just before the race and four to eight checkpoints are marked with cyclists expected to pass each point.
An edited version of this spectacular course of documented events will be premiered at Anthology Film Archives in East Village. A similar spectacle will be seen in Bridge Battle where other like minded dare devils will speed through Brooklyn and Manhattan with their bikes speeding at 60 miles per hour as they compete for prizes ranging from cash, bicycle parts and plane tickets.
