BMW 1 Series features, ready for India launch
German luxury car makers BMW have announced that their much awaited 1 Series is on its way into the country. To be assembled locally, 1 Series will compete with Mercedes-Benz A-Class luxury hatchback, and though prices have not yet been revealed, estimates put the 1 Series in a price bracket below Mercedes’ car. The new A 180 CDI luxury compact is available at a price of Rs. 22.05 lakhs after a 4% price increase this month.
The BMW Facebook page offers details of this upcoming Dynamic1 which is expected to change the way you drive. It packs in superior features that are sure to appeal to a younger and more adventurous segment of buyers and will be fitted with outstanding technologies and innovations which will include Rear wheel Drive, 50:50 weight distribution and Steptronic 8 Speed Automatic Transmission and TwinPower Turbo engine.
BMW 1 Series also has an outstanding body design and new front façade with a distinctive BMW logo. A kidney shaped chrome grille up front, a sleek bonnet design and body colored front bumper will also include an air dam and two air ducts. The headlamp cluster houses projector style lamps while external rear vide mirrors are electrically adjustable and are integrated with side turn blinkers as is seen in any other premium vehicle in its class. The premium small car segment here has in recent times been greeted with open arms, and BMW 1-Series could provied a much neede sales fillip here.
