BMW 2 Series convertible caught on test in Sweden
The new BMW 2 Series Convertible was earlier seen on trial at end of 2012, while it was recently caught undergoing test runs in snowy Sweden. Still under camouflage, the BMW 2 Series convertible is scheduled for launch only at the end of this year along with BMW 2 Series coupe model.
Where engine details of the upcoming 2 Series convertible are concerned the vehicle will be offered with a choice of series of four cylinder engines. It will be offered in both, petrol and diesel options. The petrol engine output will range from 150 hp to 218 hp while its diesel counterpart will sport a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine offering 214 hp. All these engines will be mated to a six speed manual transmission or an eight speed automatic transmission while buyers will be able to opt for an xDrive all wheel drive system. The vehicle spotted under test was seen with exterior styling and dimensions which will differ from what is seen on the hatchback while it will share the same platform, engine lineup and interior designs.
