BMW 3 Series GT gets new entry level variant in India, price Rs 39.90 lakhs

New BMW 3 Series GT Sport Line variant is priced at Rs 39.90 lakhs, this is Rs 4.60 lakhs cheaper than the existing Luxury Line variant of the same car. (ex-showroom prices)

The new BMW 3 Series GT Sport Line – price Rs 39.90 lakhs, ex-showroom, New Delhi

The new 3er GT will be assembled at the company plant in Chennai. Exterior colour options include Alpine White as the only non metallic colour and three metallic colours of Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect and Midnight Blue.

Features on board the new BMW 3 Series GT include BMW Driving Experience Control (allowing driver to opt between varying driving modes as per road and driving conditions), sport leather steering wheel, fine wood interior trim with Pearl Chrome accents, red decorative strip on the vehicle key (highlighting the sporty character of the 3 GT Sport Line) and side window frames are in Matte Black finish.

No engine modifications are seen on the new BMW 3 Series GT Sport Line, which continues to be powered by a 2.0 liter diesel engine offering 184 bhp power at 4,000 rpm and 380 Nm torque at 1,750-2,750 rpm mated to an 8 speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission.

In India, BMW has a lineup of 12 models in India out of which 8 are assembled at the company’s Chennai plant. The plant has installed capacity of 14,000 units per annum and works in a three shift system.
