BMW 4 Series Coupe at the Detroit Auto Show 2013

BMW 4 Series Coupe was revealed for the first time in flesh at the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit. Sharing tech specs with the F30 3 Series, the new 4 Series gets a new nomenclature in the BMW family.

bmw 4 series premiere at 2013 detroit (1)BMW has confirmed that sales of next generation 4 Series Coupe, which is on display at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, is scheduled for later next year. Displayed for the first time, the Concept 4 Series Coupe confirms that the two door 3 Series will become the 4 Series and join the 6 Series as a two door variant of BMW saloon.

Though just in concept form, the 4 Series on display here, is a final representation of the production model which is seen with less aggressive front and rear bumpers and air dams. It shares its wheelbase of 2,810 mm with that of its 3 Series saloon counterpart and will stand 4,641 mm in length, 1,826 mm in width and will be 1,326 mm tall. Interiors closely resemble the 3 Series saloon while it possesses an instrument panel containing a high mounted infotainment screen, radio and air con modules on the center console.

No specifications of engine have been revealed but sources state that the 4 Series will carry over the same engine lineup as that seen on the current 3 Series. For more information , scroll down.
