BMW 7 Series ActiveHybrid India launch price Rs 1.35 crore
BMW ActiveHybrid, the first hybrid offering from BMW in India will be followed in quick succession by i8 electric hybrid supercar and 2014 MINI range. ActiveHybrid 7 comes to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route at a launch price of Rs 1.35 crore and is avail able in showrooms from today at Delhi, NCR, Mumbai and Chennai.
These will include keyless entry and ignition, front and rear parking sensors, 4 zone automatic climate control and leather upholstery in its spacious cabin. The ActiveHybrid 7 will also sport a state of the art navigation system, 10 speaker sound system and satellite radio with USB/iPod integration.
BMW’s ActiveHybrid 7 finds itself placed between the 750li and 760 Li sedans and will have a distinct advantage due to the fact that it is not only the company’s only hybrid offering in the country, but also for the fact that no other car manufacturer sells a hybrid sedan in this segment in India.
Built and catering to environmentally conscious buyers in the country, the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 will be powered by a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder in line engine capable of 320 bhp peak power and 450 Nm peak torque. This engine, coupled with an electric engine with twin turbocharges producing 55 bhp and 210 Nm torque will take total combined output of 359 PS and 500 Nm torque.
Measuring a total of 5,079mm in length, 1,902mm in width and 1,471mm in height, the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 will sit on a wheel base of 3,070mm and will have ground clearance of 152mm. It will have a turning cycle of 12.2 meters. More details and exact pricing will be made know shortly.
