BMW G310R will be promoted via a new comic book

Once launched in October, BMW G310R will be the smallest capacity motorcycle in the BMW Motorrad lineup. Set to take on the KTM Duke 390 and Mahindra Mojo in India, new BMW G310R is a global motorcyle, which will first be launched in India.

Post Indian launch, it will be launched in many countries across the globe. In order to promote their new bike, BMW will be launching a comic novel in which the G310R will play a central role. A teaser has been released.

Designed jointly by Indo-German alliance BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company, G310R for Europe and Asia will be manufactured at TVS plant in Bangalore. This will allow the company to keep launch price aggressive.

BMW G310R measures 1,988mm in length, 896mm in width, 1,227mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,374mm. It is powere by a 313 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine offering 34 bhp power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm peak torque at 7,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox. It is seen with a 300mm disc brake at the front and 240mm at the rear while it also sports front upside down forks and mono shock suspension at the rear. Dual channel ABS will also be on offer.

Ready to roll into showrooms by October, just ahead of the festive season in the country, BMW G310R is the first ‘Made in India’ BMW motorcycle. It will be the first product to be sold through BMW Motorrad dealerships in India which are being set up at major metros across the country.
