BMW Group has once again taken top spot in Automotive Industry Sustainability in Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Use of sustainable practices has been at the forefront of BMW Group’s endeavors and has been something that the company is proud of as they have retained this position for past eight consecutive years. The other Automobiles sector companies admitted to the DJSI World for 2012/2013 are FIAT and Volkswagen.

BMW Group panders to needs of their customers when it comes to quality, performance and offers them the very acme of luxury but on the road to success they have also concentrated on preserving the environment. Dow Jones Sustainability Index has recognised this fact of BMW Group for being at the forefront in the industry when it comes to sustainability. The group was also first to ever employ a full time Environmental Officer way back in 1973. The company firmly believes in sustainability as being a major factor for success and being recognised for this fact is what makes the company proud.

Besides this accolade, BMW Group was also recently in the news as it listed in the Global 500 Leadership Index which was released by the Carbon Disclosure Project. BMW Group received a score of 99/100 making it not only a leader but among the top three companies in all sectors worldwide.
