BMW i8 production ready images revealed prior to Frankfurt Motor Show premiere
BMW i8, the much anticipated plug-in electric supercar gets set to make its official debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show 2013. In the mean time, first images of the production ready variant of i8 supercar have made their way to the internet where they can be seen in a two tone interior with front hinged scissor doors and in a low slung profile.
It is due to its carbon fiber and aluminum structure that the i8 itself will weigh 1490 kgs. Styling cues are seen in the form of a digital instrument panel and backlit blue circle around its BMW logo on the steering wheel. Scissor doors are not transparent while alloy rims have been replaced by conventional hoops. More details will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 10. Until then, you can watch the video by EVO below, who have already driven the i8 last month.
