Delhi Auto Expo opening day itself saw BMW launch M5, the fastest luxury sedan. At the launch one could witness a martial arts display by 5 men, which only goes to show how committed the company is to performance that is offered in the newly launched M5. It goes without saying that the vehicle is a winner in every department and is priced at Rs 95.9 lakhs.
BMW also introduced the new concept of connected drive along with their new Roadster concept. Connected drive is being offered by the company that can communicate with a driver's smartphone, thus offering additional safety and risk of collision is averted.
BMW also launched MINI range of cars. These comprise of an hatchback called MINI Cooper which costs Rs.24,25 lakhs, MINI Cooper S priced at Rs.27.6 lakhs. Two other vehicles Countryman and Convertible are priced at Rs. 29 lakhs and Rs.31 lakhs respectively. BMW was expected to launch the MINI series in India way back in 2009 but was bogged down by delays. Now the company has announced that bookings have commenced and deliveries would be effected by March 2012.
