BMW M6 Gran Coupe spied before today’s launch in India
BMW India will add another car to their portfolio today. This will be in the form of M6 Gran Coupe. Seen as a rival to both Audi RS7 and Mercedes CLS63 AMG, the upcoming BMW M6 Gran Coupe was first announced a year ago.
BMW M6 Gran Coupe will be brought into India via the CBU route and is expected to be priced at around INR 1.5 crores. Styling upgrades will include carbon fiber roof, 19” alloy wheels and revised front and rear bumpers. The new M6 Gran Coupe also receives M performance kit and new wheel arches while interiors are given a sporty appeal with extensive use of leather and carbon fiber.
M6 Gran Coupe will be powered by a 4.4 liter V8 engine mated to a 8 speed dual clutch gearbox offering peak power of 560 ps between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm and peak torque of 680 Nm between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. This will enable the Gran Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kmph while returning 10.1 kmpl according to EU driving cycles.
The BMW M6 Gran Coupe four door besides getting two preset driving modes also gets Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes making it sharper where performance and handling are concerned. Brilliant in looks and a sure shot head turner on the road, this family car with a substantial boot space is to be launched on 3rd April while it will compete with Audi RS7, Mercedes CLS63 AMG and the Porsche Panamera.
