2013 BMW X1 India launch with Dia Mirza on Valentine’s Day (107 Photos)
BMW India, the largest luxury car manufacturer in the country, launched the all new X1 compact SUV facelift yesterday. Priced from INR 27.9 lakhs, the new X1 is available in 3 trims of only diesel options. The launch event also saw bollywood celebrity, Dia Mirza, who you can see in the video here explaining her love towards BMW.
X1 SUV will be offered in a choice of seven colors of Black Sapphire, Deep Sea Blue, Glacier Silver, Marrakesh Brown, Midnight Blue, Valencia Orange and Mineral White and interiors will be fitted with Sensatec leather upholstery in a combination of black and beige. Powered by 2.0L diesel that generates 184 hp and 380 Nm torque, new X1 does a 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 205 kmph. Power transmission is taken care by the new 8 Speed automatic gearbox. AWD option is not available. BMW X1 competes with the Audi Q3, which is offered in petrol and diesel with AWD.
The BMW X1 will come packed with performance and a host of safety features which should make it stand out in a crowd. BMW X1 facelift is fitted with a well designed grille up front, along with silver accents, new headlamps, front bumper, wing mirrors and sills. Interiors will also be revamped with a new centre console design, steering wheel adding more character and style to the vehicle and giving it a premium feel. Seats are foldable in 40:20:40 configurations so as to enhance luggage capacity while drivers and front passenger seats are electrically adjustable.
