Madurai is now housing the BMW Mobile Showroom, the 8th city to do so in India. The Mobile Showroom, located at PKM Go Cart, Sivangangai Main Road, Near Vikram Hospital is open to visitors from 28th January till 12th February 2013, and is managed by KUN Exclusive, Chennai. On 6th February 2013, they hosted a special VIP customer evening that provided an opportunity for a BMW experience, vehicle test drives, interactions, and promotional finance offers. Cars on display are the all-new BMW 3 Series, the BMW 5 Series, BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, and the BMW X3.

BMW’s facelifted X1 SUV model will be launched in India on the 14th February 2013. The X1 will be equipped with innovative packages, features which are sure to amaze and excite customers. Since its launch at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the BMW X1 that was showcased to the world as a concept vehicle during 2008 Paris Auto Show is now available in international markets with 2 petrol engine options (2.0L and 3.0L) and 2 diesel engine (2.0L) options. The BMW X1 will be pitted against Audi’s Q3 model which was launched last year and Volvo V40 Cross Country which has been enthusiastically appreciated by customers worldwide. A new front and rear bumper, revised headlight and taillight design, new transmission, tweaked engines and ORVM’s are features of the soon to be launched BMW X1. Indian auto market currently sees two X1 sDrive options namely the 18i and 20d.
The 3 variants of the new X1 include sDrive 20d, sDrive 20d Sport Line and sDrive 20D xLine with a respective price tag of INR 27.90 lakhs, INR 32.50 lakhs, and INR 32.50 lakhs. Yes the price, for the last two variants are the same. The difference between the xLine and the Sport Line options is in the features offered. All three variants are powered by 2.0L diesel engine generating 18h hp and 380 Nm torque. 0-100 kmph acceleration takes 7.9 seconds.
