2014 India Bike Week welcomes legendary long-distance motorcyclists Ted Simon and Nick Sanders. In honouring long-distance riders here, the Long Haul Ride contest will pick 10 motorcyclists who would have ridden the longest distances to get to India Bike Week in Goa. The 10 long haul champions will recieve a Special edition Windproof lighter from Zippo, Long Haul stickers, and badges. Participation si simple as all you need to do is authenticate the place and time you’re starting off at.
Born 2 Ride Motorcycle Club (New Delhi) isn’t waiting for things to take off in 2014. Instead they have decided to begin the year early, and why not. In their words, ‘Let’s start the year with the mother of all rides, ‘The national ride 2014’ starting from Delhi and hitting uptill Jammu , from where we descend to the southern most tip of India ‘kanyakumari’. They will be in Goa between 16-19th January, and be part of the 2nd consecutive national Harley Owners Group ndia H.O.G Rally being held in Goa from 16-18 January, 2014. The national ride 2014 Official route: Delhi-Pathankot-Jammu-Delhi-Udaipur-Daman-Ratna giri-Goa-Bekal-Munnar-Rameshwaram-Kanyakumari-Trivandrum, and will entail 12 days of riding.
Last week also saw a group of bikers begin their journey to India Bike Week 2014 with legendary Vishnu Mehta on an unforgettable motorcycle journey. This group’s route is as follows: Jammu – Delhi – Udaipur – Navsari – Shirdi – Kolhapur.
