The 2013 Brabus Widestar 800 model based on the 2013 Mercedes benz G65 AMG was showcased at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show last weekiend. This is not a surprise as two years ago the brand had showcased its G55 based Widestar 800 model. The current model showcased at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show is powered by a V12, 6.0 liter bi-turbo engine that is capable of producing 800 hp and 1,420 nm of torque.
Turbine housings and high performance turbochargers as also four, water to air inter coolers optimize throttle response in all climatic conditions. A seven speed automatic drive transmission coupled to a permanent all wheel drive function allows this vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 kmph within a short span of 4.2 seconds. A electronic limiter allows the vehicle to hit top speeds of 250 kmph. Apart from its power upgrade, the vehicle has been infused with the iconic wide body kit, front spoiler equipped with daytime running lights, widened wheel wells and a new front grille.
The car stands tall on 23 inch, nine double spoke wheels equipped with high performance tires. The ride control system provided with this car ensures that one can manually choose from two setups for the two way electrically adjustable shock absorbers. The system provides one with dynamic handling and improved safety.
