Bugatti belt buckle which costs more than a Porsche

Priced at $84,000 (INR 48,72,000) and designed by Geneva’s Roland Iten, this Bugatti belt buckle is offered in three different series, while production will be limited to just 44 units.

Iten has used Swiss watch making equipment to fashion these Calibre R22 Mark I Bugatti Edition belt buckles which are mechanically adjustable to allow for a perfect fit around the waistline as against traditional buckles which use notches on the belt for a snug fit.

11 buckles in white gold form first of the three series while the second will be made in rose gold. No details of the third series have been revealed as on date, except that it will go into production in early 2014 of which 22 units will be made.

Iten has stated that each of these belts is an object of precision engineering much as is seen in a Bugatti engine. It is made with 100 hand crafted components consisting of gold, stainless steel and titanium while smoked sapphire crystals on the front shows off the exposed mechanics. For creating right tension needed to secure the belt, cogs, wheels, springs and pinion interconnect have been used while a lever allows for micro adjustments in millimeters so that buyers of this high priced belt buckle can custom fit the belt to their waistline.
