Bugatti Galibier, the four seater sportscar which will be powered by the same engine that powers the world’s fastest car, Veyron, is on schedule for a 2015 launch. The vehicle was first showcased to the public in 2009 when customers demanded a host of modifications as the car was not meeting customer’s demands where luxury features inside and out were concerned.

The upcoming Bugatti Galibier features a 8.0L W16 engine with two turbochargers, producing more than 1000 hp. The car’s exteriors are inspired by the torpedo like Type 35 though there are a few renderings from Type 57 as well. Constructed largely out of carbon fiber, some body panels such as doors and fenders are made out of aluminum. Its interiors are large enough to comfortably seat 4 adults while it is thoroughly lined with exotic and expensive materials. Wood and leather are in abundance with an ultramodern LCD center console.

This spectacular vehicle was originally expected to go on sale during the current year but as reported by Wolfgang Durheimer – Head of Bugatti, certain elements regarding comfort and performance still need attention. Hence it has headed back to the drawing boards which have further delayed launch to 2015. Pricing will be way above the Veyron’s $1.7 million price tag while only 1500 units will be produced.
