The Cadillac ATS Built Right Here skin on Oldsmobile
The home of legendary Oldsmobile at Lansing, Michigan has received a makeover. General Motors’ assembly plant that was the abode to Oldsmobile for sales, service and administration is a five storey building built of glass and aluminum. Currently those operations have been relocated to the Renaissance center in Detroit.
The company has decided to give the old abode a wrap which depicts an ATS travelling down the road. The words ‘The Cadillac ATS Built Right Here’ is proudly emblazoned across the building depicting the pride and joy that this building stands for where the legendary vehicle is concerned.
The grand old building was completed in 1966. ATS has been a major hit for the company and received the 2013 North America Car of the Year award at Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. It is also the recipient of other top industry honors and sales have topped ever since its launch last year.
General Motors Co has stated that it has seen much success where sales of Lansing ATS are concerned. The luxury automaker saw sales increase 39.9% in May 2013 bringing their YTD sales to 37.6% which according to the company is their most astounding since 1976. The company sold a total of 3,249 ATS vehicles in May bringing this year’s total to 15,724 units.
