Cadillac ELR images revealed prior to 2013 Detroit Auto Show

Cadillac has finally revealed the first images of their ELR, the plug-in hybrid sportscar has 120 kW electric motor and four cylinder petrol engine. It has 40 miles (64 kms) of all electric range.

Pictures of the new Cadillac ELR electric car, which is equipped with extended range have been revealed by GM, for fans prior to the 2013 North American Motor International Show. The picture revealed by the Detroit based car manufacturer shows parts of the 2014 Cadillac ELR along with interiors.

The Cadillac ELR debuted as a concept Cadillac Converj at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. Production for ELR will begin in 2013. The luxury coupe will boast of innovative powertrain features similar to that of Chevy’s Volt. Its internal power house design is exceptional and will change customer’s views about E-vehicles. The Cadillac ELR will boast of a design which will be better than its concept version. Powerhouse for this vehicle will be integrated with a T shaped Lithium ion battery coupled to an electric drive unit and a four cylinder generator.

Cadillac ELR will be unveiled for public viewing on 15th January 2013 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
