Cadillac gets set to go on display at all Cadillac showrooms from early 2014. Showcased at the North American International Auto Show, the extended range electric luxury vehicle is currently undergoing tests in cold weather conditions. Engineers of the company took the Cadillac ELR to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula so as to assess the vehicle’s handling abilities in cold weather conditions.

Cadillac ELR was tested in over 4 inches of freshly fallen snow with the team assessing steering, tyre performance, anti lock brakes, traction control and electronic stability. Continuous Damping Control was also evaluated as it is supposed to adjust damping every two milliseconds so as to ensure maximum control even on the most challenging of road conditions.

The Cadillac ELR is also fitted with HiPer Strut front suspension and watts link rear suspension which is what will ensure that this upcoming vehicle appeals to sports loving and adventure seeking buyers. The vehicle recently won the Eyes on Design award for best production vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show . The vehicle comes with a contemporary style, refined interiors and an efficient braking system.
