Honda Gurgaon dealership employees arrested for cheating customers

Four employees of M/s Frontier Vehicles Private Limited, a Honda Car India dealership in Badshapur have been arrested. These have been identified as Nalin Karwal (sales manager), Raj Kumar (sales consultant), Neeraj Bansal (cashier-cum-accountant) and Navnit Dhawan (assistant manager).

The 4 accused used to procure special discounts on vehicles from the company on the pretext to get more sales. But, they used to sell these vehicle at MRP to customers. The discounted amount was then shared by them thus cheating both customer and owners to the tune of lakhs of rupees.

Four of the five accused have been produced at a city court following which they have been sent to judicial custody. The fifth suspect, Raj Kumar Das (accountant) is on the run and a search party is out to arrest him. The complaint was lodged on Monday with Badshapur Police Station by Kamal Singh, General Manager of M/s Frontier Vehicles Private Limited.

He alleges that these five employees used to obtain special discounts on the cars to the tune of INR 20,000-50,000. In a number of such cases, the suspects would never pass on this discount to customers and would, in fact, sell the car at the MRP and share the discounted amountĀ amongst themselves.

It is estimated that during the period November 2015 to May 2016 they cheated the dealership to the tune of INR 3 lakh. Following complaints lodged by the owner, an FIR was registered against all five suspects under sections 420 (cheating) and 408 (criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant) of the IPC while further investigations are underway.
