Chevrolet Camaro Coupe and Convertible launched in UK at £35,025 and £40,025 respectively (Photos)

Car enthusiasts in UK have reason to rejoice. Camaro Coupe and Convertible with new Euro-Specs will be available across Chevrolet dealerships. However, convertible buffs in this part of the world may not be happy with the fact that the company will not be offering models with right-hand drive.

Both models are being offered with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. There’s not much to choose when it comes to engine options. Both models are equipped only with a 6.2 liter V8 engine. On-road price for the coupe starts at £35,025 ($55,043), whereas the convertible is priced at a starting price of £40,025 ($62,901).

If you’re willing to shell out a little in excess of £1,500, you can avail of the company’s 45th anniversary package. Six-speed manual transmission models deliver 426hp and 415 pound-ft torque whereas the automatic transmission models deliver 399hp and 410 pound-ft torque. Acceleration from 0-100 kmph in manual transmission is possible in 5.2 seconds for the coupe and in 5.4 seconds for the convertible while in automatic transmission the figures are 5.4 seconds and 5.6 seconds respectively.

Pirelli P-Zero tires are offered on 20 inch alloys. The Euro Specification models has sunglass shaped LED tail lights, large folding exterior mirrors, front and rear tow hooks, specific radio equipped with Traffic Assist that is tuned to European frequencies, Euro beam HID headlamps, specific metric speedometer and a license plate bracket that is larger than usual.
