Chevrolet Cruze interiors for 2015 variant revealed
Based on the Tru-140S concept which was showcased at 2014 Detroit Motor Show, the new Cruze made its world debut at 2014 Auto China in April. At that time, GM only showed the exteriors of the car, and it is for the first time that they have revealed its interiors.
Chevrolet Cruze sedan gets an all-new body with innovative new interiors. The new Cruze sports a dual cockpit design inspired by cars such as the Corvette and Camaro. Interiors boast of a 3 spoke multifunction leather steering wheel, instrument cluster with blue accents and hand stitched saddle brown seats in full leather. A well designed dash and 8â€ť touch screen are also evident featuring Chevyâ€™s MyLink II system with voice controls and Bluetooth connectivity.
More spacious than current variant, the 2015 Chevy Cruze owes this increased interior space to trimmed down engines. 2015 Cruze will be powered by a 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine offering 138 bhp peak power and 200 Nm peak torque.
In China, a naturally aspirated petrol motor will also be on offer which will be mated to transmission options such as a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed dual clutch automatic. The Chevy Cruze, once it comes to India in 2015-16, will see the addition of a 2.0 diesel engine carried forward from the current model.
Designed exclusively with buyers in China, Shanghai General Motors has stated that the updated Cruze will immediately appeal to an elite set of buyers in the country with features, connectivity and efficiency that are vital to a younger section customers of today.
