New York Auto Show: Chevrolet Impala 2014 and 1966 on display (Photos)

Chevrolet has just launched a new Impala for the model year 2014 at the 2012 New York International Auto Show currently underway at Jacob Javits Convention Centre, New York from April 6 to 15, 2012. Though this vehicle is the cynosure of all attention it is the 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS 427 Convertible that is still a favorite. Such is the affinity for this vehicle that the company has even brought it to be put on display along with the new sedan.

Though there is nothing in common between 2014 model and 1966 Convertible, it is getting as much if not more attention at the Auto Show. The car in question, is powered by a 427 cubic inch V8 capable of 390 hp and 470 Nm torque.

Chevrolet introduced  2014 Impala showcasing the automakers commitment to technologically advanced and fuel efficient models. The new model will come into the markets next year as a 2014 model. The car is seen with a new styling which is also seen in the 2013 Traverse.

The Impala nameplate was introduced in 1958 and has been one of the Chevrolets’s best selling passenger cars for the past few decades. The 2014 model is the 10th generation of Impala which should live up to the company’s heritage.
