Chevrolet India reports 21% sales decline in February 2014
General Motors India has sold 5607 in the month of February 2014. When compared to 7106 vehicles sold in Feb’13 this equates to 21% sales decline. After unveiling the all new Chevrolet Beat hatchback last month at the Delhi 2014 auto Expo, General Motors announced the launch of Limited Edition Chevrolet Sail hatchback and sedan with styling additions and exclusive badging.
JD Power Asia Pacific 2013 awards saw 2013 India Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) award for Most Dependable Premium Midsize Car go to Chevrolet Cruze. 2013 India Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study saw Chevrolet Cruze bag ‘Most Appealing Premium Midsize Car’.
Earlier today, GM India launched the updated Chevrolet Cruze at a price between Rs 13.70 lakh and 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). “The Cruze has received an overwhelming response from consumers across India since its launch in 2009 and continues to be the largest-selling Chevrolet nameplate globally,” said Rajesh Singh, Vice President, After Sales, Marketing and Sales, General Motors India.
“We are constantly upgrading our carlines according to the evolving needs of the Indian consumer. The updated Chevrolet Cruze with all new Gen2 automatic transmission returns improved fuel economy and also provides turn indicators on outside rear view mirrors, both of which are crucial for Indian road conditions,” added Mr. Singh.
