Chevrolet’s Manchester United edition Beat and SAIL U-VA India launch, 7th July
Manchester United special editions of Chevrolet SAIL U-VA and Beat are scheduled for launch on¬†July 7, 2014. And you only need to be ¬†a team fan to know why. It¬†is Man Utd’s jersey reveal day for the 2014-15 season. ¬†
It was earlier though the special editions will be launched in June, but the new date works like a charm. Chevrolet as official automotive partner of Manchester United signed an 8 year partnership deal. As part of that arrangement, the shirt sponsorship deal begins this season, so yes, you will no longer see Aon sponsored tees.
Founding sponsor of ‘One World Futbol Project’, Chevrolet is also giving away¬†1.5 million virtually indestructible footballs¬†in 3 years to kids from impoverished¬†areas, conflict zones and refugee camps. Chevrolet India has undertaken football distribution activity in schools here.
As the year begins, fans and players would be in a hurry to get started¬†on the right foot forward.¬†New team manager,¬†Louis van Gaal‚Äôs first¬†match¬†is at¬†home against¬†Swansea City on¬†16th August. Having finished last season far away from the top, not only did Man Utd lose a shot at the club’s 21st league title but also a chance to fight for Champion’s League this season. That’s a year away from matches against Europe’s top league teams.
The partnership¬†between both helps the automaker¬†leverage the club’s brand and presence.¬†Chevrolet Fast Moves contest for Manchester United fans kicked-off in India¬†weekend before last. Through it, 2 lucky winners with a¬†friend each¬†get to¬†fly to Michigan¬†to watch the team¬†play¬†Real Madrid in August.
Manchester United special edition Chevrolet SAIL U-VA and Beat cars have been displayed at malls in Delhi and Bangalore. The contest venue will shift to malls and dealerships across the country.  Freestyle footballers, music and the engaging contest itself will be venue hopping until 6th july. Both special edition cars, celebrating Chevrolet’s sponsorship with Manchester United will be limited edition launches.
