GM released images of their to be launched hatchback variant of Cruze. Chevrolet Cruze hatchback will be a 5 door variant of their popular sedan Cruze. GM will showcase Cruze Hatchback for the first time at the 2010 Paris Motor Show starting at the end of this month.
GM has not revealed anything about Cruze Hatchback's pricing or engine but we can expect the hatchback to cost a little more than its sedan counterpart. Reports suggest the Chevrolet will power the hatchback with the same engine which power Chevrolet's Cruze Saloon and Orlando variants (1.8L petrol 139bhp and 2.0L diesel 161bhp/123bhp respectively).
Mr Wayne Brannon,Chevrolet Europe President and MD said, "Cruze is turning out to be a real success story. We are selling it in 70 countries around the world and it has recently surpassed the Aveo as our top selling passenger car nameplate globally." GM will launch Cruze hatchback in Europe by mid 2011.
