Chris Froome conducts high performance tests on Jaguar F-TYPE and C-X75
Chris Froome, ace sky rider and winner of the 2013 Tour de France has put the Jaguar F-TYPE and C-X75 to the test on his recent visit to the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Gaydon, Warwickshire. To mark his victory at the recent Tour de France, Froome was also presented with a new F-TYPE.
Testing the Jaguar C-X75 prototype, hybrid car noted for his efficiency where auto emissions are concerned, the ace racer found that car to be a high performance racer capable of hitting a top speed of 355 kmph while being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in below 6 seconds.
The C-X75 is fitted with a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine offering 502 bhp while its supercharged four cylinder engine option offers the highest power output of 313 bhp per liter. The car also comes with two additional electric motors adding additional 390 bhp thereby giving combined output well over 850 bhp.
Besides testing these two Jaguar sportscars, Froome also raced his team Sky Pinarello bike alongside the Jaguar C-X75. He was presented with the F-TYPE which was decorated with yellow livery to mark the colors of Team Sky. He is the second British rider to win the Yellow Jersey after Sir Bradley Wiggins in 2012.
