Yamaha R25 beats Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI on race track comapre
Yamaha R25 finally saw some competition on a racing circuit, in the form of Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI. Indonesian motorcycle racer Nico Julian Chandra, who frequents Ninja 250 on track, was given the opportunity to ride R25 and Ninja 250 FI on Sentul International Circuit, Indonesia for a head on comparison.
Out of 5 runs on the 4.12 km loop (11 turns) of Sentul circuit, Nico managed to achieve best lap time of 2m 2.87 sec on Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI. Then it was Yamaha R25’s turn. Apparently it was the first time Nico got to swing his leg over an R25, still he did fastest lap in 1m 59.59 sec, trumping Ninja 250 FI’s record by 3.56 seconds. Handling of Yamaha R25 is reportedly lighter, and easier to enter and exit corners as compared to Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI’s. Shorter wheelbase of R25 (by 20mm) is reckoned to make it more agile than Ninja 250 FI.
Yamaha R25 is known to have beaten Honda CBR 300R in top speed comparison already, this time it is made clear that Ninja 250 FI stands behind CBR 300R. Known top speed of Yamaha R25 is 172 kmph, Honda CBR 300R is 169 kmph and Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI is 165 kmph.
