New range DICV-made FUSO trucks in Indonesia will further market share where Fuso is an established leading commercial vehicle brand. Fuso’s market share in Indonesia stands at 45.4%.
In the light-duty 5-8 tons GVW truck segment (Colt Diesel) Fuso’s leadership comes from 53.1% market share as reported for Jan – Dec 2013. Fuso has sold over 280,000 units in Indonesia in light-medium and heavy duty segments. DICV-made FUSO robust and fuel-efficient trucks are newly developed to meet need in growth markets and strengthen Fuso’s Asia and Africa presence.
The trucks sold under Asia Business Model have already begun business in Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, and Brunei. Business in Indonesia has already gotten on track with orders placed through its local distributor. Mitsubishi Fuso products for Indonesia are distributed by P.T. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB). Since market entry in 1970, the millionth sales milestone was achieved in 2013. MFTBC holds 18% of KTB shares here.
