Mahindra to launch new variants this year

M&M said today that it plans to launch 6-7 new variants of its existing vehicles in fiscal year 2010-2011. The company will also formally start production of pick up trucks in US by April 2010. "Next fiscal we will be launching 6-7 new variants of our existing models. Fiat India to expand dealers network

Fiat India has decided to expand its dealer network by adding 10 new dealers to its network by this year end to take the count to 110 from 100 currently. The statement came in the wake of a new dealership opening in Mumbai taking the count to 100 across the country and 4 in Mumbai. The new dealership will offer sales, service and spare parts under one roof. The new dealerships might open in new cities... 

8,000 units of Honda City to be recalled in India

Honda has decided to recall around 8,000 units of its best selling "City" over  defective power window switches issue. The vehicles that are set to be recalled were manufactured in 2007. The decision came after the company decided a global recall of 6.46 lakh units of City and Jazz over the defective windows switches. However, HSCI had said the recall will not affect Jazz in India as the fault existed...

M&M to grow its used-car business

Mahindra & Mahindra group seems to be working hard on growing its used cars business. The company expects the sales volume from "Mahindra First Choice Wheels" to go up to 18,000 units as against to 10,255 last year. Maruti eyeing 1 million cars sales in 2010

Maruti is all set to cash on the recovering economy and expects to sell 1 million cars in next fiscal year.
