Datsun Drive-On convoy brings together owners for 1st anniversary gala

Over 100 Datsun owners got together to celebrate the brand’s first anniversary. Datsun will celebrate with underprivileged children at 100 locations. Datsun Drive-On convoy contained a mix of Go and Go+ cars.

The drive was flagged off by Guillaume Sicard, President, Nissan India Operations and actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Datsun Drive-On celebratory drive is also being hosted in Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Cochin, Ahmedabad and Guwahati.

Datsun Go hatchback went on sale in April 2014, after being shown at Delhi Auto Expo in February. Datsun Go+ went on sale in January 2015. Datsun vehicles are available across 176 Nissan-Datsun Dealerships and standalone outlets in India. Delhi celebration included a musical performance, Ayushmann Khurrana joined in, and Guillaume Sicard got on stage.

Sicard says India is the first market to begin selling Datsun products after its reintroduction was announced in 2012. Datsun Drive-On celebrates this milestone in Datsun’s history in India, and reflects the company’s commitment to customers here. Datsun has had an encouraging year in India, and other markets. After Go and Go+, Datsun looks forward to adding more products to its portfolio in India in the future.

Having begun operations in 2014, Datsun Russia reports total sales to date at 20753 unis. Datsun Do and and mi-DO are sold in Russia. Q1 2015 sales stand at 9339 units, reflecting optimistic sales.
