Datsun Go bookings open in India
Datsun India announced the start of production of Go Hatchback earlier this month on the 4th of February from Renault-Nissan Alliance’s Chennai plant. Now, from today, Datsun India has commenced taking bookings (pre-orders for Go hatchback across India), for a sum of Rs 11,000.
To be launched in March 2014, Datsun Go price will commence from less than Rs 4 lakh. It is the first car to enter production under the revived sub-brand of Nissan. The makers promise that Datsun Go will offer best in class performance, features and lower cost of maintenance.
The Datsun GO which premiered last July in Delhi, India, is a modern five-door, five-seat hatchback conceived to offer accessible transport to aspirational, rising Indian families. The car is designed to offer a modern driving experience combined with spaciousness, quality and fuel efficiency for a new breed of customers who are enjoying the opportunities available to them.
“From day one, we knew that the key to the success of the Datsun brand was that the cars must be developed, engineered and manufactured locally. By working this way, we have a unique insight into customer needs which enables us to build a car that meets and even exceeds those expectations,” said Vincent Cobee, Global Head of Datsun.
Datsun dealerships will share space with existing Nissan India dealerships and showrooms. Datsun will have dedicated space for showroom and service. They will also have separate management and staff. In order to book your Datsun, visit a nearby Nissan showroom, or call 1800 209 3456.
