The upcoming GO will sport a 1.2 litre petrol engine which it shares with the Micra. This engine will be capable of producing 76 PS peak power and 104 Nm torque. It will be mated to a 5 speed transmission. Sitting on a wheelbase of 2450 mm, the new Datsun GO will get a hexagonal honeycomb grille with chrome surrounds and will sit on 13” steel wheels with Apollo Acelere 3 G tyres. The model has well proportioned interiors which are sure to appeal to a diverse section of buyers.
Interiors carry a clean design. The interesting part of the interiors is that the front row seat can accomodate upto 3 passengers, thanks to the placement of gear shift knob on the dashboard. Datsun GO will be launched by early next year in a sub INR 4 lakh price bracket, and it will compete against Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai i10, Grand i10, Chevrolet Spark as well as Renault’s own Micra Active.
