Datsun Go+ MPV Indonesia launch, India next

Go+ MPV variants will include D, A, Option A, T and Option T. Each of these variants will be powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine producing 68 bhp power and mated to a five speed manual transmission. An automatic gearbox is also in the making to cater to Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) segment in Indonesia. As part of its LCGC participation, Datsun Nusantara presents Datsun GO+ Panca as its 1st car.

Datsun Go+ MPV D variant will be minus air conditioning, audio and paint on bumpers and will be priced at Rp 85 million (INR 4.42 lakh). A variant gets air conditioning, body colored bumpers and an audio system and is priced at Rp 92.9 million (INR 4.84 lakh) while Option A is priced at Rp 92.9 million (IBR 4.84 lakh) and receives a 1 DIN audio system. T and Option T are available at a price of Rp 99.9 million (INR 5.20 lakh) and Rp 102.9 million (INR 5.36 lakh) respectively. T variant is fitted with power steering, power windows and body colored handles on doors while Option T is the top end variant with roof mounted spoiler and parking sensors.

Panca was used in naming as it’s derived from the global naming of Datsun Go wherein Go can be translated as five in Japanese and Panca too means five in Bahasa Indonesia. The “+” in the name Datsun Go+ denotes 3rd row extra space for passengers or luggage to accommodate 2 extra occupants in the 5+2 MPV.

Datsun Go+ Panca is a durable, accessible and comfortable modern family car for Indonesian risers – want in a family vehicle. On the inside sits a connected front seat, and mobile docking station. On offer is a wide range of accessories. the car uses a speed-sensing wiper system, and Multi Information Display and follow-me-home headlights. Available in 5 colors, Datsun Go+ Panca will at first be available at 39 dealerships, and this number will increase to 95 dealerships nationwide by fiscal year end.

Datsun Go hatchback began sales in India earlier this year. The company also showed Datsun redi-GO Concept, and GO+ MPV at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. In early April, Datsun on-DO sedan for Russia was unveiled. Datsun Go+ MPV is the 2nd launch from the automaker scheduled for India.

The Datsun Go hatchback, which has gone on sale in India, will become the second product in the brand’s Indonesian range from 2014, with specific tailoring for the needs of Indonesian customers.
