Datsun Go MPV spied before Diwali 2014 launch
The second car under the Datsun brand for India is Go+ MPV. It is based on the same platform as their Go hatchback and is expected to be launched later this year, probably before the DIwali festival period begins. Here are the first spy images of Datsun Go+ testing in India
We can now confirm that the Datsun Go+ MPV has begun it’s test runs in India. This morning, Chennai based Manoj Prabakaran clicked the first spy shots of the same.
Under 4 meter in length, Datsun Go+ MPV was launched in Indonesia earlier this month for a starting price of Rp 85 million (approx INR 4.42 lakh), while top of the line variant is priced at 102.9 million (approx INR 5.36 lakh).
Available only in petrol engine option in Indonesia, India might get a diesel option for the Go+ in the form of Micra’s 1.5l diesel engine which delivers 64 PS power. As far as petrol engine is concerned, Datsun Go+ MPV will be powered by Datsun Go’s 1.2L engine which delivers 68 PS power.
Featuring three row seats for accommodating 7 adults max, Go+ will compete with the likes of Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio (launch in 2-3 months). Of the three, price of the Datsun Go+ MPV is expected to be the lowest, with base variant starting from about Rs 4.2 lakhs.
