Datsun Go Plus MPV Nepal launch in two months, price expected Rs 15 lakhs

Pioneer MotoCorp, authorized distributors for the Datsun brand in Nepal, will be bringing in the new Datsun Go+ MPV by April 2015. Targeted as a larger family car, as compared to entry level hatchback, Datsun Go+ was launched in India earlier this year, at a starting price of Rs 3.8 lakhs (approximately NPR 609,806).

Datsun Go+ is a stretched out version of the Go hatchback, which was launched in Nepal last year at a price range of NPR 1.8 – 2 million. Now, the company is almost ready to launch the 5+2 seater variant in Nepal. Measuring 3,995mm in length, 1,635mm in width, and 1,490mm in height, Go+ is powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine generating 68 PS peak power and 104 Nm peak torque while being mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.

Datsun Go+ MPV will be shipped into Nepal from India as a Completely Built-up Unit. It will be priced below NPR 2.5 million (about Rs 15 lakhs, which is over 4 times its price in India).

In India, Datsun Go+ MPV is being offered in four trim levels – D, D1, A and T all priced between INR 3.79 lakhs and INR 4.61 lakhs. On board equipment is sparse with the D and D1 devoid of air conditioning. The T trim however receives power steering and front power windows besides central locking, front speakers and body coloured door handles. Infotainment is in the form of a Mobile Docking Station with USB and AUX-in. Third row seating is cramped and fit only for small children while boot space stands at 48 liters which can be extended upto 347 liters with rear seats turned down.

The same features and trims will be on offer with the Datsun Go Plus MPV in Nepal.
