Delhi Bus Gang Rape vehicle owner submitted fake documents

The recent gang rape on a bus in Delhi which has rocked the country and resulted in widespread public outcry saw the victim breath her last in a Singapore hospital on December 29, 2012. The accused in this heinous crime are in police custody while the bus owner is also sent to police custody for submitting fake documents. Fake papers with regards to permit, registration certification, etc have been submitted so as to get his vehicle registered.

Dinesh Yadav, 35, owner of the errant bus was picked up from his residence in Rasoolpur Nawada village near Noida Sector 62 and reprimanded to police custody and has been charged with cheating. He has submitted these false papers to the State Transport Department while he has also submitted a false affidavit about his residential address to get the bus registered with Delhi Transport Authorities.

Police told the court that the bus in which the girl was gang raped was registered by providing false information. The owner had also given proof of address in his passbook of Bank of Baroda and driving licence but as per landlord Anant Gopal, Yadav never resided at the said address and a total of 11 buses were registered in his name.
