DICV and Volkswagen take Make in India to 2015 Hannover Messe

Volkswagen India will showcase products and activities in line with Make in India theme at 2015 Hannover Messe from 13-17 April. Cars made by Volkswagen Pune plant are exported to over 32 countries (Asia, Africa and North America). Volkswagen India will showcase the Vento sedan.

A 1.5-litre TDI engine assembled at Volkswagen Engine Assembly Plant in Chakan will be showcased. Volkswagen India will present its Mechatronics Apprenticeship Programme, with two apprentices and one trainer from Volkswagen Academy in India will be present at 2015 Hannover Messe. VW India showcase is part of the bigger exhibition from VW, focused on digitalisation of production and product. Exhibits include 3D visualisation and human-robot co-operation in assembly, new gen infotainment and assistance systems, world premiere of Caddy 99g CO2/km, and German premiere of new Touran.

Volkswagen India will host a stall to showcase Volkswagen Group India operations as part of the IGCC pavilion. Volkswagen India displays will be up at Hall 15 Stand A04 at VW Pavilion, and Volkswagen India booth in Hall 16 at Stand D28.

 Daimler is using the potential of Indian commercial vehicle market

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles is exhibiting at 2015 Hannover Messe. DICV will showcase at the India Pavilion displaying Make in India products, HDT (heavy duty truck) Cabin, HDT Engine and G 85 Transmission. HDT cabin being showcased reflects high comfort and safety standards through a spaciously designed interior and illumination for enhanced driver visibility. OM 906 engine and G 85 transmission will be shown in Hall 6.

Erich Nesselhauf, Managing Director and CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles says DICV is in line with Make in India campaign. Oragadam plant manufactures products for Indian and global markets. BharatBenz truck sales has been growing, and bus production start in end of May 2015 will be the next chapter of of success for Daimler in India.

About 300 Indian companies are participating in the 5-day 2015 Hannover Messe in seeking tech collaborations, business tie ups and showcasing India’s capabilities. Volkswagen and DICV reaffirm support towards Make in India campaign initiated by the Government of India.
